Dr. Amulya Kumar Singh

Dr. Amulya Kumar Singh is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Medical Director of Akshat Seva Sadan, a 60-bed multidisciplinary hospital in Yarpur, Patna. He has an active interest in Trauma, Pain Management and Rheumatology and has undertaken a Fellowship in Arthroplasty in Kanpur. He is also actively involved in motivating young doctors and supporting their career planning.

Dr. Singh has held several leadership positions in professional medical organisations. He is the President of the Bihar Orthopaedic Association for 2026–27, President of NAILS for 2025–26, and President of SXAA. He has previously served as President of the Central Zone Orthopaedic Association (2012–13), Former Secretary of the Bihar Orthopaedic Association, and Honorary Secretary of the Global Orthopedic Forum.

He organised GOFCON 2024 in Vietnam in March 2024, which was attended by doctors from India and Vietnam. He has presented scientific papers at 73 different international forums as a guest speaker, along with numerous presentations at the national level.

Dr. Singh has received several awards and honours, including the National Talent Scholar Award, Doctor of the Year Award 2012, Best Orthopedic Surgeon Award 2013 by IIHER, Chitragupta Samman 2014, Dr. Govind Sharan Fellowship, Dhanwantari Award, Melvin Jones Fellowship, Glory of India Award 2007, Rajeev Gandhi Excellence Award 2009, Significant Xaverian Award 2009, Best Healthcare Professional Award in Orthopedics 2015 by The Times Group, and the Road Champion Award from the Government of Bihar in 2023 and 2024, presented by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bihar.

For his social responsibility during the COVID-19 period, Dr. Singh was awarded the Goodwill Ambassador Lions International Award by Dr. Jung Yul Choi, the International President of Lions Clubs for 2020–21. Six International Directors attended the presentation of the award.

Since 2017, Dr. Singh has been actively running Akshat Urmila Sevashram in the name of his mother. The initiative provides support to needy people requiring medical care and assistance, including help for those facing difficulties involving their relatives and friends, both physically and financially.

Dr. Singh is also the President of the Bihar Wushu Association and organised the 22nd National Junior Championship of Wushu in Patna in August 2023.
