About & Biography
Sri Ratan Kumar Singh developed a strong spiritual inclination from an early age. As a young child, he came under the guidance of Pashupati Babaji and was also blessed with the guidance of Karpatriji Maharaj from the age of six. His spiritual journey remained an important part of his life and shaped his outlook towards service, learning and society.
With a strong desire to serve the nation as a fighter pilot, he joined the National Defence Academy (NDA) and achieved second rank in his batch. Returning from the NDA, he achieved the distinction of becoming a state topper in the I.Sc. examinations.
His desire to serve the nation and society continued to guide his career, eventually leading him to Government Service, from which he retired as an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer. Throughout his professional life, spirituality, patriotism and social welfare remained important priorities.
During his posting in Bombay, now Mumbai, he continued to pursue his interest in understanding different religions and spiritual traditions. While being a practising Hindu, he learned about Islam from a Hazrat and Christianity from a Priest, with the aim of developing a deeper understanding of different faiths. His spiritual inquisitiveness also made him an avid reader, and he made efforts to meet and learn from respected saints, spiritual teachers and scholars whenever possible.
After retirement, Sri Ratan Kumar Singh has remained actively engaged as a consultant, motivational speaker, spiritual speaker and social worker. His continuing activities reflect his long-standing commitment to spirituality, national service and social welfare.
His father, Late Jag Narain Singh, is also remembered as an important influence in his life.
